The Tesco Compare website has been designed to be as easy as possible for blind or partially sighted people to use. Not only does it meet recommended international standards, but also we've included many extra features, including:

The size of the text

You can adjust the size of the text to suit you. How you do this depends on your web browser. Below you'll find instructions for the most commonly used browsers, on both PC and Mac.

PC

• If you use Internet Explorer to go online, select ‘View’ from the menu bar at the top of the browser, select 'Text Size' and then choose your required size.
• Netscape and Mozilla users should select 'View' followed by 'Text Zoom' or 'Text Size', then choose the appropriate size.

Mac

• In Netscape or Internet Explorer, go to 'View', then select 'Text Zoom' or 'Text Size' and choose the size you require.
• In Safari, select 'View', then choose 'Make Text Bigger' or 'Make Text Smaller' in the dropdown menu.
• If you're using another browser, you should find instructions on how to alter text size in the 'Help' section.

Making web pages look simpler

You can change the appearance of pages to make them easier to read. Here's how:

PC

• In Internet Explorer, go to 'Tools', select 'Internet Options', then click on 'Accessibility'. Click the top 3 boxes in the pop-up window. If you want to make your own style, simply follow the instructions in the lower half of the pop-up window.

Mac

• In Internet Explorer, under the 'Explorer' menu, select 'Preferences, then 'Web Browser', then 'Web Content'. In the 'Page Content' area, clear the check boxes next to the items you don't want, including the style sheet.
• In Safari, go to the ‘Safari’ menu, select 'Preferences', then 'Advanced'. Other style sheets can be attached here.
